This is a really cool Millennium project that links the Forth & Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. They used to be linked up until 1933 and this was a landmark project that was supposed to impress.
It is certainly cool and well worth a look see!
Amazingly, it uses the same power as a kettle every time it rotates, during which each arm holds 500 tonnes of boat and water.
As you can see below we certainly didn't get typical central Scotland weather!
