Inle Lake is a huge lake on a glacial plane. We had a cracking couple of days there. This post is just going to focus upon the people who work on the lake and the views around it. What they call a photo essay.
There are lots of people paddling to and from their fishing grounds in these tiny and flimsy boats.
When the guys start fishing they stand in the stern and use a leg to control the paddle, steer and to control the drifting of the boat. This leaves both hands free to actually get on with the business of fishing.
I don't normally post pics along the lines of 'the view from our hotel' but I'll make an exception here. So, below is the view from our hotel room in Inle lake.
