A short peddle further on were some cracking views of former royal palaces when this area was the Burmese capital. Next stop was a lovely small temple, in particular a couple of weather-worn Buddhas caught my eye.
We then spent a very pleasant few miles cycling through the countryside, including a ferry crossing, until we came to the 'weaving village'. Here the men make and dye the cloth and the women weave it.
We then mozied on to the U Bien Bridge which was stunning....
