All that's new and interesting
As far as I can tell, the only reason to bother with Tissa in Southern Sri Lanka is to go to the National Park where they reckon you can see leopards!
So with an early start, we set off. However, girl child threw-up before she got in the Landy so she and Gill missed out.
Almost as soon as we entered the park we saw an elephant at most a couple of metres away in the bush at the side of the road. A good start! We also saw a most impressive bull elephant later on in the morning.
The day was starting to warm up so off to the beach for the breakfast stop. This was also pretty good as we could watch whales breaching from the sand. As we were heading off and seeing less and less as the animals sought shade to avoid the heat, we hit a traffic jam in the middle of a safari!
The reason was a leopard fast-a-kip in a tree near the roadside. How lucky was that? Just as we had given up hope. After a wait for our turn to gawp at it, it was off and back to the hotel to spend the rest of the day in the pool... Life's tough!
This will be a blog about my latest shots and what I liked or was trying to do with them
